I can see it selling over a million easy but they could easily sell more

Because? ... I don't think it would be horrible at all, in fact i'm sure Diablo 2 Items had 1 player being the host, in which case its very similar to Live. Unless of course your imagining a scenario where your playing with 12 year olds, in which case i'd refer you to a thing called a friends list.

Anyway. I certainly think Diablo 2 Items could work on consoles, i think a lot of people who say it wouldn't work just don't consider all the possibilities when it comes to how they could map the controls. Or they have no faith in Blizzard making a good control system. You know what? I'd have faith in them if they were to do it. Obviously the interface would not be exactly the same as the PC version but thats not to say it would be a bad thing.

It'll never happen of course because Blizzard don't see any importance to consoles. Activision merger i doubt will have any real impact on Bliz. Bliz will still have a lot of say on what they are going to do and with they're killer franchises like Diablo 2 Items i think Activision are just going to be happy thinking about all that money they can rake in.

Obviously there are a lot more computers out there than there are consoles combined but a lot of gamers buy consoles solely to play games. Its a market of specific gamers Blizzard overlooks. Not everyone who owns a computer will be a gamer. Not everyone will have a computer that can run Diablo 3. WoW is so successful because it runs on a large range of hardware. I don't think the same can be said for Diablo 2 Items which looked quite good graphically as well as having a lot of animations on screen and lots of AI.

I can see it selling over a million easy but they could easily sell more, as well as make more money releasing it on consoles. Having a console version won't impact the PC versions sales whatso ever because your always going to have the people who played Diablo 2 Items to death on PC and won'#t play it any other way.
